AS DELICATE AS SNOW

About

Andrew works with the peace corps. He sees her rushing to the university one day in Saline when on a work assignment there.

Drawn by her beauty, he follows her.

He assigns one of his men to look after her welfare before he leaves the city.

He would come back to see her.

It takes him a little over two years before he expresses his love for her. It had been too dangerous to get entangled in a relationship then.

Serena is intrigued by his confession. She takes the train to meet him in Siella.

Along the way, the snow is as delicate as her mixed emotions. She soons learns of its wisdom.

It was then that we learned about the wisdom of snow. Snow was as delicate as it looked. Its softness was like a cotton blanket that looked like it was full of warmth, only, it cradled the steps of wayfarers, silky in fashion, endearing in appearance, fresh as dew, nevertheless, freezing upon touch.

Praise for this book

When I began reading this story, I had no idea what to expect. It begins with a young lady boarding a train. A mysterious letter has been slipped into her bag. It makes her uncomfortable as well as quite curious. Her train journey begins with several thoughts and feelings racing through her mind and heart. As the young woman gradually reads the letter, she begins to understand the purpose of the writer's invitation.
A mysterious man, an unknown admirer, wishes to meet her.
Does the woman believe the stranger's words? Does she accept his invitation?
You'll have to read the story to find out.
Shobana Gomes offers her beautiful poetic writing against the backdrop of a snowy winter day. The snow and its pristine beauty add a remarkable softness to this warm tale. A refreshing take on love and its magical embrace.

As the author says, you will never look at snow the same way again. Such an
outstandingly written book.

I have a major interest in trains and trips. Whether it's suspense like watching Narrow Margin or burrowing into the couch to read something lighter such as this book, it's always a treat! Wonderfully written and I enjoyed this over the weekend. The characters are memorable and I didn't want to put it down.
